By accessing or using GalactoGuide ("the App"), available at galactoguide.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App. These terms apply to all users, including lactating parents, caregivers, and healthcare providers.

2. About GalactoGuide

GalactoGuide is a clinical reference tool developed by Dyad Health Collective LLC and Dr. Diana Pontell, MD, IBCLC. The App provides educational information on substances that may increase milk supply (galactogogues) or decrease milk supply (galactofuges) during lactation.

The App is designed to bring awareness to current research on these substances. It does not evaluate the safety of any substance during lactation for individual users, assess individual medical risk, or provide personalized medical recommendations.

3. Not medical advice

The content in GalactoGuide is intended for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing in this App constitutes:

Medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
A patient-provider relationship between you and Dr. Diana Pontell, MD, IBCLC, or Dyad Health Collective LLC
A substitute for professional medical judgment
An endorsement or recommendation of any specific substance for your individual situation

All galactogogues and galactofuges carry potential benefits, risks, and contraindications that vary by individual. Any decision to use or avoid these substances must be made through shared decision-making with your qualified healthcare provider.

4. Healthcare provider use

Healthcare providers using the Provider portal acknowledge that the clinical information provided is intended to supplement — not replace — their independent clinical judgment. All clinical decisions remain the sole responsibility of the treating provider. Content in GalactoGuide does not constitute clinical guidelines or standards of care.

5. Evidence limitations

The App explicitly acknowledges that the evidence base for most galactogogues and galactofuges is limited, of low certainty, or primarily observational. Evidence ratings displayed in the App reflect the current state of published research and are updated periodically. Users should not interpret any evidence rating as an endorsement of safety or efficacy.

6. Emergency situations

GalactoGuide is not intended for use in medical emergencies. If you or your baby are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number immediately. Do not use this App to seek guidance in urgent medical situations.

7. Intellectual property

GalactoGuide™ is a trademark of Dyad Health Collective LLC. All content, design, clinical summaries, and the term "galactofuge" as used in this App are the intellectual property of Dyad Health Collective LLC. You may not reproduce, republish, or redistribute any content from this App without written permission.

8. Future paid features

GalactoGuide is currently offered free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features, subscriptions, or premium tiers in the future. Any such changes will be communicated in advance and will require your agreement to updated terms before purchase.

9. Third-party links and resources

The App contains links to third-party resources including LactMed, the Infant Risk Center, MotherToBaby, e-lactancia, and others. These links are provided for informational purposes only. Dyad Health Collective LLC does not endorse, control, or assume responsibility for the content of any third-party website or service.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

GalactoGuide is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Dyad Health Collective LLC makes no warranty that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that the information provided is complete, accurate, or up to date. Clinical information is reviewed periodically but may not reflect the most current research at any given time.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dyad Health Collective LLC, its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of or reliance on this App, including but not limited to adverse health outcomes resulting from use or avoidance of any substance discussed herein.

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Use at any time. Updates will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
