A clinical tool by The Dyad Health Collective

Our purpose: GalactoGuide brings education and awareness to current research on substances that may increase (galactogogues) or decrease (galactofuges) breast milk supply. This app does not evaluate the safety of these substances during lactation, assess individual risk, or provide personalized medical recommendations. All substances carry potential benefits, risks, and contraindications that must be reviewed through shared decision-making with a qualified medical provider before use.

My story

I first became interested in breastfeeding medicine after having my first child at the end of my pediatric residency. Despite years of medical training, I realized I had real gaps in the practical side of breastfeeding โ€” what pump, what flange size, when to start, how often, what positions.

"I know through caring for my own patients that finding adequate breastfeeding support is not easy. Women often feel alone navigating their infant feeding goals among premature birth, medical complexities, mental health concerns, and the demands of work and family life."

I was fortunate to have incredible clinical mentors and a supportive community that guided me on my breastfeeding journey. Through all these experiences I realized there is SO MUCH to be shared about human milk โ€” from the first latch to the squirmy toddler.
