Privacy Policy
GalactoGuide does not collect personal information from users. You do not create an account, log in, or submit any personal data to use the App in its current form. This policy explains what limited data is collected by our hosting provider and how it is used.
1. Who we are
GalactoGuide is operated by Dyad Health Collective LLC, a breastfeeding medicine practice based in Nashville, Tennessee. Our website is galactoguide.com. Questions about this privacy policy may be directed to us at dyadhealthcollective.com.
2. Information we collect
GalactoGuide currently collects no personal information directly from users. The App does not require you to:
- Create an account or log in
- Provide your name, email address, or contact information
- Submit health information, medical history, or personal details
- Make a payment
Your portal selection (Lactating Parent or Healthcare Provider) and disclaimer acknowledgment are stored locally on your device only using your browser's local storage. This information never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party.
3. Data collected by our hosting provider (Vercel)
GalactoGuide is hosted on Vercel. As part of standard web hosting, Vercel may collect the following anonymous, aggregated data when you visit the App:

This data is anonymized and aggregated — it cannot identify you as an individual. Vercel does not use cookies to track users. Visitor session data is automatically discarded after 24 hours. For full details see Vercel's Privacy Policy.
4. Cookies and local storage
GalactoGuide does not use cookies. The App uses your browser's local storage solely to remember your portal preference and disclaimer acknowledgment between visits. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
5. Children's privacy
GalactoGuide is intended for use by adults — specifically lactating parents, caregivers, and healthcare providers. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has used this App, please contact us.
6. Health information
GalactoGuide does not collect, store, or transmit any health or medical information. The App does not ask you to enter your health conditions, medications, or personal medical history. Any clinical situation you select in the Recommend tab is processed entirely within your browser and is never sent to our servers.
7. Third-party links
The App contains links to third-party resources including LactMed, the Infant Risk Center, MotherToBaby, e-lactancia, Hale's Medications and Mothers' Milk, LactED, and Dyad Health Collective. When you click these links you will leave GalactoGuide and be subject to the privacy policies of those third-party sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party website.
8. Future features — accounts and payments
GalactoGuide may introduce user accounts, personalization features, or paid subscriptions in the future. If and when we collect personal information such as email addresses or payment details, this Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect those practices before any such collection begins. You will be notified of material changes and given the opportunity to review updated terms.
9. Data security
Because GalactoGuide currently collects no personal data, there is no personal information stored on our servers that could be compromised. We use industry-standard HTTPS encryption for all connections to the App. Vercel maintains its own security standards for hosting infrastructure.
10. Your rights
Because we do not collect personal information, there is currently no personal data about you in our possession to access, correct, or delete. If this changes in the future, we will provide clear mechanisms for you to exercise your privacy rights in accordance with applicable law, including CCPA (California) and GDPR (European Union) where applicable.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
